Emilie graduated from the University of Mary Hardin Baylor in 2015 with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Exercise Physiology and a minor in Pedagogy. As a collegiate athlete, playing soccer throughout her time there, she was drawn to sports performance and the anatomical needs of athletes' bodies. She taught science and coached middle school and high school sports for 5 years post college. After earning both her strength coach and nutrition certifications, she went back to school for her Masters Degree in 2020. Emilie graduated with a Masters of Applied Exercise Science with a Sports Performance concentration, and a medical exercise certification to allow her to assist clients who may have medical or rehabilitation needs.

As a proud U.S. Army spouse, she didn’t stop there with her education and pursuit of knowledge. Seeing a huge gap in military physical training and readiness, she completed her tactical strength coach certification this past fall and began working with military and tactical populations.

She furthered her experience with clients of all needs by supporting 100 + clients this past year with goals ranging from more comfortable movement to strength gains, nutritional guidance and weight loss. This experience showed Emilie that her true passion is working with clients who want to focus on strength training (of tactical and general needs) to help improve task specific and functional strength improvements, as well as sports performance training in all sports.

Emilie is married to a U.S. Army Captain, Josh, and is currently stationed overseas in Europe. She loves to hike, play sports, take long walks, and soak up the sun. Addicted to coffee and cheese, she fills her free time with cooking, being outside, or playing with her two cats and new baby boy McKoy.

Emilie’s favorite animal is an Orca! You’ll notice her lifting shoes, office décor, coffee mugs, and many other things have this killer whale on it. She’d love to talk to you about why she is obsessed with this majestic creature.

Kelsey Testa

IT ALL STARTED WHEN…

Kelsey broke her foot in competitive Irish dance… but really.

That moment in time sparked her interest in the world of strength and conditioning, rehabilitation, and most importantly, injury prevention.

Thanks to hearing her foot snap — which ended in numerous tears of her ligaments — she found an area where she felt called to be: athletic training.

Originally from Orlando, FL, Kelsey graduated with her AA degree in Sciences and Athletic Training (where she worked with collegiate softball and basketball players) and then attended the University of Mary Hardin Baylor to finish pursuing her Bachelors of Science in Exercise Physiology and Athletic Training. Kelsey worked as an athletic trainer (which is how she met Em!) working with their collegiate football and soccer teams. Throughout this time, Kelsey was also a certified personal trainer and worked closely with sports performance professionals.

Kelsey continued on in her academic career graduating with a Master’s of Health and Human Performance where she developed a program for postpartum athletes. She worked to certify as a strength and conditioning specialist along with a sports performance specialist.

Being married to the military, Kelsey ended up in Alaska where she started developing strength and conditioning programs specific towards tactical athletes. Kelsey witnessed first hand the numerous problems within training our military (in fact, she wrote several research papers/theses around needing a new physical training standard before it was cool).

From there, Kelsey ended up as a health educator working for the Army Wellness Center where she coached and worked with active duty members and pursued her tactical strength and conditioning credentials.

Kelsey has worked with 100+ clients supporting various needs of sports performance, strength and conditioning, mindset, and nutritional needs.

Kelsey is currently a third year PhD student completing research on tactical athletes and training modalities to reduce musculoskeletal injuries.

She is a loving wife and mother of three crazy kiddos (plus two fur babies). She loves working out for the mental clarity and physical strengths that she gains from giving her absolute best. She believes that traditional training programs are not a one size fits all and that we enter multiple phases of training throughout our entire fitness journey.

Kelsey is very passionate about her work and strives for the absolute best for her clients.

Kelsey currently focuses on the health and performance aspects of tactical athletes — mainly military, law enforcement, firefighters, and EMTs! Her research stems around training modalities specific to their job tasks.

You’ll find her chatting about all thing’s fitness, nutrition, mental health, motherhood, and running multiple businesses!
